I’ll confess I’m anxious about what this year will bring, but I also know that the greatest triumphs happen in the face of adversity, and it’s more important than ever that we continue to take small steps toward big change.
I’ve seen a lot of people arguing that it doesn’t matter what we do as individuals—that the onus is entirely on governments and industries to fix our environmental problems. But I disagree. We need change at both the institutional and individual levels, and Hannah Ritchie has done an excellent job of making the case for change across the board. Check out her post on the false dichotomy of systemic and individual behavior change. And give her a follow.
I’ll be back with more individual tips in two weeks.
